My name is Patricia E. and I live in Puyallup, WA. Matt Walden and his “mighty men” just finished removing 4 old growth (50 to 60 year old) poplar trees from my property. I want to tell my story so you will be put at ease when you hire him to do a “job” for you.
The first day I contacted Matt he was in a tree, but called me back in about 30 minutes (no waiting there). He said he could stop by to look at my trees about 12:30pm. He arrived at 12:20 (early). He was polite, very knowledgeable, and took the time to explain exactly how he would remove my unwanted poplars and answered all my questions. He then gave me a written bid which I had no hesitation signing and told me he and his crew would begin the job on Thursday 8am.
We actually had several inches of snow that evening and Matt had to cancel due to the weather. He rescheduled for Monday morning 8am on Monday. As they began to gear up for their task it began to snow. Matt and his “mighty men” kept right on working and the first tree was down before 10:30am. I was so impressed with the work ethic being displayed by these dedicated professionals. They were very safety conscious, very tidy and did everything they stated they would do, including replacing plants that had to be temporarily moved. We have a large field adjacent to our property that belongs to our neighbors, so the trees were dropped into the field.
Toward the end of the first day, I looked out to check the progress. As I watched, I noticed there was one of the crew actually in the field with a pitchfork lifting the indented sod…WOW, I knew at that moment that I had nothing to worry about. When the job was completed, there was not one tiny little thing that I needed to do or be concerned with.
